The Park

This afternoon, the kids and I took lunch to the park for a picnic and to play, just needing a change of scenery. They had fun but where ready to come home and jump into their little kiddie pool.
On a completely different note: Mike broke his arm. Wednesday night we where with our youth and after our Bible Study they where trying to skateboard on a half pipe and he landed on his right arm and broke it. We went to the ER and the DR said that if your going to break a bone in your arm this is the one to break. He is in a temp. cast and the way it sounds they wouldn't but another one on after Monday. He has a Dr appointment to see how its going Monday morning.

All Aboard....

Mike's uncle made this train for him when he was little and yesterday while we where at his parents house for lunch they got Mike's out of storage. Jace has been playing with it every waking moment. He loves trains and wants to drive a train when he gets big.

Strawberries

Yum I love these very yummy red berries. This morning I got up and picked 22 quarts thanks to my mother-in-law who let me have today's picking. Hailey and Jace got bored rather quickly but would come by often to have a little treat.

Columbus

This past Mike and I where in Columbus with our youth group for City Challenge. Some of the things we did where a woman shelter, homeless shelter, nursing home, park with kids, yard work around the Reach house. On Thursday we did what they call the City Challenge. We where split into our groups and given maps and list of things we needed to find and while your in the middle of all this your supposed to find people to pray with. We also had two packed lunches and we where suppose to find homeless people and give them these lunches. We where in the city for 4 hours, walking. I was tired by the end. On Sunday afternoon we left Columbus and headed for Cincinnati to Kings Island, where we spent the day Monday. We headed home Yesterday morning. It was such an awesome week, not because of any of those things that I mentioned but because of how God worked in our group. He moved in the hearts of our group and I know that there where lives that will be forever changed because of some of the encounters that they had with God this week.

Eye's on the back of my head.....

Growing up my mom had me convinced that she had eyes on the back of her head and I was pretty sure she did cause she saw everything going on. I always wanted eyes on the back of my head and couldn't figure out how she got them. She told me that its something I will get when I'm a mom. I kinda forgot about that until one day I saw Hailey do something that she didn't really want me to see and that started the eyes on the back of my head. She is so puzzled by this and has been trying her hardest to figure it out. She has tried looking through my hair, poking the back of my head, to asking her dad if this is true. He just replies with a laugh and says it must be true because I can see whats going on. I keep telling her when she's a mom she'll understand how they get there.
